Terms & Conditions
1. About this website
This website is operated by Wooden Rustic Craft ("I", "me", "my" or "WoodenRusticCraft").
WoodenRusticCraft is an independent, one-person woodworking business based in the United Kingdom.
All products are made and sold subject to these Terms & Conditions.
By placing an order through this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Wooden Rustic Craft online store.
2. Products
Each product is handmade and may contain natural variations in colour, grain, texture, knots, marks and other characteristics of natural wood.
These variations are not defects. They are a natural part of the material and contribute to the individual character of each handmade piece.
Product photographs are intended to represent the item as accurately as reasonably possible. Because wood is a natural material and photographs can vary between screens and lighting conditions, the actual item may differ slightly in colour or appearance from the images shown online.
Dimensions stated in product descriptions are approximate unless otherwise stated.
Where a product is made from reclaimed, aged, spalted or otherwise naturally marked wood, these characteristics are part of the item's individual appearance.
3. Prices and payment
All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling (GBP).
The total price, including any applicable delivery charge, will be shown before you complete your order.
Payment is processed securely through the payment services offered at checkout, currently including Stripe and PayPal.
Wooden Rustic Craft does not receive or store your full payment card details.
4. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product.
An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.
A contract for the sale of goods is formed when the order is accepted and the goods are dispatched, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
I reserve the right to contact you if there is a genuine problem with an order, such as an obvious pricing error, stock problem or inability to fulfil the order.
If an order cannot be fulfilled, any payment already taken for the affected order will be refunded.
5. Delivery
Delivery is currently available within the United Kingdom only.
Orders are sent using Royal Mail or Evri, depending on the delivery option available at checkout.
The standard delivery charge is £4.98. Orders over £80 qualify for free standard delivery.
Standard UK delivery usually takes 2–5 business days. Deliveries to UK islands and remote areas may take 3–6 business days.
The available delivery option and estimated delivery information will be shown during checkout.
Once an order has been dispatched, tracking information may be provided where the selected delivery service offers tracking.
I will take reasonable care to package each item securely for delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs of the item and its packaging.
I will review the issue and work with you to resolve it in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability or right that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
6. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to any applicable legal exceptions.
If an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins when the final goods are received.
To exercise your right to cancel, please contact me through the contact form on this website and clearly state that you wish to cancel your order.
You should take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
After notifying me of cancellation, you must return the goods without undue delay and normally within 14 days of notifying me.
Unless the goods are faulty, not as described, or another legal exception applies, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when the law allows this.
Where required by law, I will refund the payments received from you, including the applicable standard delivery charge, using the original payment method.
Refunds will be made within the period required by applicable consumer law.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods
Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
If an item is faulty, damaged before it reaches you, or is not as described, please contact me as soon as possible.
I will deal with the issue in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection law.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or reduces those rights.
8. Handmade and natural characteristics
Because every item is handmade from natural materials, no two pieces are necessarily identical.
Natural marks, knots, changes in grain, colour variations, small surface irregularities and other characteristics of natural wood are part of the individual character of each piece.
These characteristics should not be regarded as manufacturing defects unless they affect the product in a way that makes it faulty or not as described.
9. Custom and personalised items
If I agree to make a product specifically to your requirements, details of the agreed design, dimensions, materials and price will be confirmed before work begins.
Certain cancellation rights may not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where an applicable legal exception applies.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not comply with the contract.
10. Intellectual property and photographs
All original photographs, product images, workshop photographs, graphics, written content and other original creative material published on this website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights where applicable.
Unless I have given written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, download for commercial use, modify, republish, sell, distribute, or use my photographs or other original website content for another business, website, marketplace listing, advertisement, social media account or other commercial purpose.
This includes photographs of products, workshop photographs, detail photographs and photographs used in product listings.
Viewing products and photographs on this website does not give you ownership of, or a licence to use, those materials.
The copyright in original photographs created by me remains mine unless I have expressly transferred or licensed those rights in writing.
Copyright protection generally arises automatically for original photographs and other original creative works in the UK.
11. Website content
I take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices and other information on this website are accurate.
However, minor errors or changes may occasionally occur.
I may update product information, availability, prices or website content where necessary.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
12. Accounts and favourites
The website may allow customers to create an account, view order history and save products as favourites.
You are responsible for keeping your account login details confidential and for notifying me if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Personal information connected with your account is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
13. Links to other websites
This website may contain links to external websites, including marketplaces such as Etsy.
I am not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external websites.
When you follow an external link, the terms and privacy policy of that external website may apply.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the website, products, services or applicable legal requirements.
The Terms & Conditions applying to an order will be the version applicable at the time the order is placed.
16. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law applicable in the United Kingdom.
If you are a consumer, you will also retain the protection of any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.
17. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, an order, a product or your consumer rights, please contact WoodenRusticCraft using the contact form provided on this website.
